About Raymond J.A. Stephens

Raymond is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Raymond has over 7 years of experience in the field of mental health. Upon the completion of his Graduate Program in Social Work at Florida Atlantic University, Raymond began working as a clinical therapist with children and their families who suffered from a myriad of issues including abuse both sexual and physical, neglect, anxiety, depression, and substance use.

Raymond then transitioned to the adult population serving in community-based care where he aided those afflicted with mental health issues such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He has worked exclusively with those who battle substance abuse addictions for the past 3 years.

Raymond has the belief that wherever someone is in their life’s journey, they do not have to stay there. With determination, focus and drive, anyone can triumph over any obstacle. He invites you to join him on this journey of healing and restoration.

My Education & Experience

Raymond received a Bachelors in Political Science from University of Central Florida in 2008. He then decided to pursue a career in social work and received his Master of Social Work degree in 2013 from Florida Atlantic University. Raymond started his career working with the Department of Children and Families in 2013 and worked with children for the next 3 years. Upon getting his License in Clinical Social Work in 2016, Raymond transitioned to working with adults dealing with an array of issues from depression to Bipolar disorder. Raymond has been working in the substance abuse field since 2018.
